this mix was a request form my old friend Jay.

He is an actor and an intellectual - he wanted something, "woodsy, indie singer songwriter..."

it was a challenge because i dont have a lot of indie singer songwriter stuff - i tend to like bands and instrumental stuff, i like singer songwriters some, but not a lot of indie one's - its kind of songs here and there and a few artists whom i adore and so have a lot of there stuff....

i had fun working on this mix, but it was quite a project for me... there will be a part 2 at least and maybe a part 3 down the line....

this is very much a shotgun blast from my electronic music collection - i went for stuff that i like - that is, in my mind, essential... meaning it captures some of the essence of what electronic music is about... by no means should you consider this representative of the wide label that is ”electronic music” or anything like that, nor is it histrorically or chronologically put together, I simply made a mix of stuff I like.
i am no expert as far as labels, titles, artists, styles of electronic music go - i like what i like ...
i am consistently attracted to music that has a groove an elemental beat a dynamic, is melodic and sometimes something that is challenging in some way for my brain...
i don't know if these tunes qualify as house music orchill out, downtempo, techno, dance, breakbeat or what...i just know they have a groove and i enjoy them...
i hope you do too...
